FAQ
Have questions? We have answers
What is a Gi Map test?
The GI-MAP is a simple stool swab that measures many different types of gut bacteria (good and bad) and maps them to known conditions, symptoms and imbalances.
The test measures the overall balance of bacteria within the gut microbiome as well as identifying any organisms that shouldn't be there such as parasites and viruses.
The test also comes with comprehensive results identifying which bacteria may be impacting your health and contributing to unwanted symptoms.
Most importantly, our results are interpreted, meaning we don't just supply the raw lab data, we tell you exactly what we have found and what your bacteria is linked to.
What can the results tell me
The results can give you a 360 view of your overall gut health and tell you what the diversity of your gut is like, identifying if you have too little or too much of specific gut bacteria.
We look at the latest research and studies behind the microbiome and specific bacteria types to provide an evidenced based assessment of what the abundance of certain bacteria may mean for your health.
The results also include personalised food and supplement recommendations specifically designed to increase the diversity of your gut, specifically by promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria by adopting a gut friendly diet and supplement plan.
How long do results take?
The results typically take 4 weeks to complete from the date our lab receives your sample.
Who can I speak to about my results?
We offer unlimited support with our team of nutritionists and gut health experts via email. So if you have any questions about your results, you can contact a member of our team any time.

How to get a Gi Map test?
The Gi Map can be purchased on our website, you do not need a referral from a doctor or medical professional.
